Return Policy

At antwerpdiamonds.direct, your confidence comes first. We present the exact diamond you’re buying with authentic photos and 3d videos where available, and every diamond is laser-inscribed and supplied with its grading certificate (e.g., GIA/IGI/HRD). In short: you receive exactly what you ordered.

 


Our 14-day courtesy return (for eligible EU deliveries)

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(b) and the Belgian Wetboek van Economisch Recht (WER), Article VI.53, 2°, goods whose price depends on financial-market fluctuations outside the trader’s control are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal. Loose diamonds fall under this exception because their pricing follows industry benchmarks that can move during the usual 14-day window.

As a Result: there is no legal cooling-off right for diamonds purchased at a distance.

Our policy. Even so, we voluntarily offer a 14-day courtesy return for eligible orders delivered within Europe (see exclusions below). If you intend to return, please notify us immediately upon delivery so we can issue a Return Authorisation Code (RAC) and provide simple packing/insurance instructions. This courtesy is in addition to—and does not limit—your statutory rights when we make a mistake (see above).

Exclusions & limitations

  • Outside Europe: Orders delivered outside Europe are not eligible for return.

  • Custom / special-order items: Any item ordered on special demand is not eligible for return.

  • The courtesy return is available only for eligible orders delivered within Europe and not falling under the custom/special-order exclusion.

Market / currency adjustment (late shipments)

If you decide within 14 days to return but ship after day 14, we will deduct any financial loss we incur due to currency movements and diamond market price fluctuations between your delivery date and our receipt/acceptance of the return. Ship within 14 days to avoid this adjustment.

 


How to start a return

You will receive a Return Authorisation Code (RAC) and secure return address with detailed instructions. For security, do not write “antwerpdiamonds.direct” on the outside of the box.

Important considerations

  • Original sealed container: Return the diamond in its original sealed container. If the seal is breached or tampered with, we cannot provide a refund.

  • All collateral & packaging: Return all original packaging and documents. The grading certificate is unique and carries a €200 replacement fee.

  • Authorised, packaged, insured: Any unauthorised, improperly packaged, or non-insured package will be refused and returned to sender. Items damaged in any way cannot be accepted.

Once we receive your item and it is accepted, your refund or exchange will be processed within a few days. Our Quality Assurance team will review the item; note that items showing signs of wear, altered, or damaged in any way cannot be accepted. Returns without an antwerpdiamonds RAC, or packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured, will be refused.

 


Reshipment of the purchased product

Under no circumstances will Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV be responsible for arranging the return, nor intervene in arranging the insurance coverage for any returns.

  • Costs & insurance: All return shipping and insurance costs are borne by the client, including any costs related to (re)importation outside the EU and any costs resulting from incorrect customs procedures for re-importation (from outside the EU).

  • Transit risk: Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV will never be liable for damages—theft and loss included—of the reshipped product/packaging. Risk remains with the sender until our Quality Assurance team accepts the item.

 


Inspection of reshipped products

Upon receipt at Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV, the item will undergo quality control to verify compliance with this policy. We will confirm receipt by email.

 


Reimbursement of the price

If accepted, the purchase price (less any applicable costs above and any Market/Currency Adjustment described earlier) will be reimbursed within ten (10) working days after satisfactory quality control.

Refunds are made by bank transfer to the account you designate.

If the returned product and packaging do not meet the conditions, no reimbursement will be issued. The product remains your property and must be collected within two (2) weeks of our refusal notice, or it can be reshipped to you after payment of all reshipment costs and charges (including any customs charges).

 


Summary you can rely on

  • Exactly what you ordered: real photos, laser inscription, official grading certificate.

  • If we make a mistake: full refund or replacement at our expense.

  • If you change your mind (EU only, eligible items): a voluntary 14-day courtesy return with clear instructions and fair handling.

  • Ship within 14 days to avoid market/currency deductions.



The product, object of renouncement, has to be reshipped to Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BVs' business seat at Pelikaanstraat 78,Room 2001, Box 140, 2018 Antwerp Belgium, where a representative of Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV will receive it.

Under no circumstances Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV will be responsible for the (arrangement of the) return, neither intervene in the arrangement of the insurance coverage for any returns.

Costs and Insurance of reshipment including all cost related to reimportation outside the Eu will always be borne by the client.

Costs and Insurance of reshipment and costs resulting from incorrect application of the customs procedures related to the re-importation (from outside the European Union) of the purchased diamond will always be borne by the client. Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BVBA will never be liable for damages -theft and lost included- of the reshipped product/packaging

Inspection of reshipped products

As soon as the object of renouncement is received at Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV it will be submitted to a quality control by one of the inspectors of Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV, in order to control if the condition of the reshipped product and packaging meets the requirements to be object of the right of renouncement or to be exchanged.

When reshipped, Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV will notify reception of the reshipment to the client by email.

Inspection of reshipped products

As soon as the object of renouncement is received at Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV it will be submitted to a quality control by one of the inspectors of Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV, in order to control if the condition of the reshipped product and packaging meets the requirements to be object of the right of renouncement or to be exchanged.

When reshipped, Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV will notify reception of the reshipment to the client by email.

Reimbursement of the price

The purchase price (reduced by the costs as mentioned here above) paid by the client will be reimbursed by Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV within ten (10) working days after a satisfactory quality control of the reshipped parcel.

Reimbursement will be done by transfer on the bank account mentioned by the client for this purpose.

When the reshipped/returned product and packaging does not meet the renouncement requirements, no reimbursement will be done. In this case the reshipped products remain the property of the client and the client is obliged to collect the product within two weeks after the day that Alpilex Diamond Mfg. BV notified her refusal to accept to take the product back or to exchange it. On his request the product can be reshipped to the client after payment of all reshipment costs and charges (including – if any - costs resulting from incorrect application of the customs procedures related to the re-importation of the purchased product from outside the European Union).
